LSU Freshman Sha’Carri Richardson Announces Plans To Go Pro After Breaking Collegiate World Records

LSU Freshman Sha’Carri Richardson, 19, made a public announcement stating she will discontinue the remainder of her college career to sign a professional athletic contract.

Richardson’s recent appearance at the 2019 NCAA Division I Outdoor Championship with an astounding 10.75 time in the 100m final single handily gained the world’s attention along with professional looks. The previous record (prior to being broken by Richardson) was set 30 years ago by former LSU athlete, Dawn Sowell.

Richardson also set another U-20 record as the second person in LSU history to complete the 200m in 22.17 record time.
