Eastern Shore Native Set To Compete For Professional Looks Against Fellow Major League Soccer Club, D.C. United

Eastern Shore native Sharief Stancil is confirmed to compete for professional recruits on the major league level with his current team Va Beach City FC against popular Washington D.C. based soccer club affiliates, D.C. United. 

The game will take place Wednesday, May 22nd at Powhatan Stadium in Norfolk, VA. Tailgating for the event is set to begin at 5pm with kickoff starting 7pm.

Stancil’s VA Beach head coach Brian Hinkey, who was recently named “Head Scout of Hampton Roads Metro Area” in 2018, will be leading the team into this upcoming match.

Stancil has been playing soccer since the age of three years old and professionally with VA Beach City FC for six years.

Stancil continues to set an example for many people following their dreams on the Eastern Shore, as well as spreading the message of hope to children with desires in sports.
