Dj Khaled released the first single “Higher” featuring the late Nipsey Hussle and John Legend from his upcoming eleventh studio album, Father of Asahd.

With raps of his family’s history starting with his grandmother’s procreation of his mother and his father moving from Africa at a young age, Hussle welcomes the listener into his world one last time in this soul riveting rendition.

Hussle also referred to his currently grieving girlfriend, actress Lauren London, in the song by saying “Los Angeles love, kindve like Hussle and Boog”, and shouted out his children during the song as well. 

The song arrives posthumously two months after Hussle was murdered this year in front of his Los Angeles clothing business.
