Legendary musical icon Teddy Riley solidified his accomplishments with receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 16th.
Teddy Riley, 51, is responsible for a lengthy string of hits written and produced for legends such as Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown, Keith Sweat, Janet Jackson along with his own 90’s R&b groups Guy and Blackstreet.
Riley is most known for creating his own genre of music, New Jack Swing, which incorporates the uptempo dance/swing genre with R&b, hip hop and funk elements.
Althoigh Riley is originally from Harlem, NY, his adoption of Virginia’s music scene helped to cultivate the talent to what it has become today. Riley also managed to discover The Neptunes and other local talent and mentored some of the most known talent of this generation.
