Donald Trump maintained his controversial stance on the 1989 Central Park 5 case where five teenagers were accused in the rape of a white female jogger.
Trump was recently asked by April Ryan of American Urban Networks if he would apologize for spending up to $85,000 in advertisements with intent on having the accusers executed. Trump responded to Ryan’s question with saying “You have people on both sides of that. They admitted their guilt”.
The Central Park 5 (Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, and Korey Wise), who were five teenagers during their convictions recently made headlines with their ordeals through Director Ava Duvernay’s Netflix Docuseries “When they see us”. The five men were exonerated in 2002 when no DNA evidence was found pertaining to the 1989 rape.
Sweet Spill Opinion: Did we ever expect Trump to own up to his mistakes???
