MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA–Serena Williams achieved her record breaking 23rd Grand Slam winning at the Australian Open over her sister Venus Williams, on Saturday Jan. 28.

After a 6-4 6-4 defeat, the sisters were able to set aside their competitive nature to express love support for one another. Serena started her winning speech by thanking her older sister Venus and crediting her for the overall current success she has today.

Over the years, the friendly yet competitive sibling rivalry has landed Serena with a 17-11 professional career lead over Venus, along with a 10-5 record in Grand Slams.
