WASHINGTON, D.C.–The National Musuem of African American History chose to host the movie screening premier for Virginia based ‘Loving’ on Monday, Oct. 24.

Although the musuem has only been open for a month, the increasing popularity of the site filled all the seats in the musuem’s Oprah Winfrey theater.

According to sources, the movie ‘Loving’ was purposely chosen because of its bridging of interracial relationships from where it began to where it is now.

The true Virginia based love story ‘Loving’ involves the decade long struggle by interracial couple Richard and Mildred Loving to legalize their marriage at the U.S. Supreme Court despite racial barriers.
